Hi there. My name is Clarke Watson and I’m absolutely flattered that you want to know more about me! That is why you clicked on this page, right?

I grew up in Westcliffe, a picturesque and wildly remote mountain town/ranching community in southern Colorado. While I won’t bore you with details from my badass childhood, it is worth noting that my rural upbringing nurtured a unique spark of creativity and wonder that I carry with me wherever I go. With “normal” sources of entertainment hours away, I was forced to entertain myself, and I got really good at it! The result? I’m self-reliant, witty as hell, and can make the best of any situation.

I attended the University of Denver as a Boettcher Scholar and studied Marketing because it was a nice balance of right-brain and left-brain thinking, and it also opened doors to expand my passion for writing.

Between internships, freelance projects, and various stops along my career path, I’ve had the opportunity to explore the entire gamut of writing. I’ve drafted proposals for international grants allocated toward providing clean water to some of the world’s poorest regions, and have also created and written brochures for recreational land-investments with price tags north of $15 million. I’ve created web copy for businesses, products, events, and services and created more email campaigns and social media campaigns than I can count. But what I really love, and where I really excel, is developing and refining the brand voice and identity of each client I work with. I have an innate ability to connect with brands and individuals to help craft their perfect story that the world needs to hear.

In my free time, you can find me hiking, fishing, camping with friends, helping my girlfriend clean her car (she’s a florist), working on my first children’s book, or telling people about that one time I made a viral video (see below). If there’s anything else you’d like to know, drop me a line.

My two days of fame

When I first moved to LA a few years ago, my roommate and I were bored and created this video. One Buzzfeed article and 115,000 views later, we were famous for a day or two! If you haven’t seen the original music video by OT Genesis, check it out HERE.
